Activities & Events at AMS
At Al Manar Modern School, the joy of learning begins the moment students walk through our gates. We kick off each academic year with exciting Back-to-School activities, where students enjoy inflatables, fun games, and engaging group experiences that set a positive tone for the months ahead. Throughout the year, our students also organize and take part in bake sales, fundraising events, and mini school fairs, fostering a sense of entrepreneurship, teamwork, and school spirit.
We believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. That’s why we foster a dynamic, engaging, and inclusive environment where students grow academically, emotionally, socially, and physically through a wide range of sports, extracurricular programs, and school-wide events.
Our students actively participate in sports such as basketball, football, and tennis, which promote teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition. This year, Grade 9 students organized a football tournament, with active participation from Grades 7 through 11, creating a spirited and collaborative atmosphere.
In addition to athletics, AMS encourages environmental responsibility. As part of our Green Campus initiative, Grade 10 students, in collaboration with their science teacher and AFDC, took part in meaningful planting activities raising awareness about sustainability and encouraging care for our natural surroundings.
Cultural and national celebrations are an essential part of life at AMS. We proudly celebrate:
– Independence Day, with performances and activities from KG to Grade 12
– Mother’s Day, celebrated by KGs and Elementary students
– Culture Day, a school-wide event that highlights global traditions
– Halloween, filled with fun, costumes, and creativity
– The Christmas Exhibition, a joyful 3-day celebration featuring festive parades, music, and student-led showcases
We also honor our language and heritage by celebrating اليوم العالمي للغة العربية (World Arabic Language Day. (Students shine through poetry, plays, and creative presentations that showcase their pride in the Arabic language and culture
